Who Should Attend?
The “Apply Workplace Safety and Health in Shipyard (General Trade) ” is a mandatory WSH training course for workers in general trade operating in the shipbuilding and ship repairing work environment.
Certification Obtained and Conferred By:
WSQ Statement of Attainment issued by SSG to candidates who met assessment requirements.
Course Content
- Understand legal obligations in workplace safety and health
- Identify hazards in a shipyard
- Recognise the different types of industrial safety signs
- Understand the application process for safety permit prior to hot work
- Don personal protective equipment
- Apply safety precautions when working with different hazards PS7. Respond to fire and emergency
Assumed Attitude, Skills and Knowledge
- Employability Skills (ES) Workplace Literacy level 3 and above.
- • Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES Workplace Numeracy level 3 and above.
