WSQ Statement of Attainment issued by SSG to candidates who met assessment requirements.

Course Content

  • Understand legal obligations in workplace safety and health
  • Identify hazards in a shipyard
  • Recognise the different types of industrial safety signs
  • Understand the application process for safety permit prior to hot work
  • Don personal protective equipment
  • Apply safety precautions when working with different hazards PS7. Respond to fire and emergency

Assumed Attitude, Skills and Knowledge

  • Employability Skills (ES) Workplace Literacy level 3 and above.
  • • Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES Workplace Numeracy level 3 and above.
